INDULGE Chocolate – Packaging

I designed and experimented with a packaging style that is more unconventional than most, trying to create a packaging that interacts with you the moment when your eyes catch it on that crowded shelf. I explored the concept of the visuality of explosive emotion, an intense feeling that happens to me when I consume my favourite rich chocolates. I wanted to express this on the packaging itself, so that the moment your eyes see this texture, you will feel the possible emotions you can amplify by buying and eating this chocolate.

Visually, I imagined emotion to be fluid, so I folded the packaging in many folds allowing it to become malleable to an extent (without damage to the chocolate internally). I also imagine emotion to be a different shape in everybody's minds, thus the malleable aspect of the packaging ensures no two packaging is exactly the same shape. In a way, I hope this created an interactive aspect of touch for the consumer to be intrigued by. Lastly, the exploding aspect of emotion is expressed in the explosive and colourful visuals.
